A Caring Connection - Pregnancy Services

You may feel overwhelmed and confused, with many questions. You may feel isolated and alone, wondering where to turn for information and support. The staff at A Caring Connection is here to provide pregnancy counseling and other services for persons experiencing an unexpected pregnancy.

We can provide you with helpful information that will allow you to make decision regarding your future. The staff at A Caring Connection can provide you with referrals to needed resources. Our experienced staff can offer you emotional support during and after your pregnancy. We work with people every day who are experiencing situations just like yours.


Our program is:

          ~Available to anyone experiencing a crisis pregnancy

          ~Provided at no charge

          ~Confidential

          ~Available to you as long as you need our services

          ~Available throughout Kentucky


We will support you without pressure and provide you with honest and truthful information so you can make the decision that you feel is best for your child's future. 


Through our Pregnancy Services program we provide the following as needed by the individual and their families:

o   Follow-up services and counseling – All services are provided whether you parent or make an adoption plan.

o   Post-placement counseling – Our counselors are available to those making an adoption plan for support as long as requested.

o   Information and referral- We have knowledge of community resources that may be of assistance to you during and after your pregnancy. We can provide you with information and help you to access services.

o   Outreach to expectant fathers- The mother of the child is not the only parent considered during a pregnancy. Expectant fathers may also utilize the services provided through A Caring Connection.

o   Pregnancy Counseling- This is not mental health counseling…pregnancy counseling is there to help you cope with a new situation that may be overwhelming, scary, exciting and isolating. Emotional support, encouragement, help in coping with problems and accurate information are provided to assist you during a difficult time.

o   Newborn Care Education- Whether or not you have decided on the best option for you, anyone can receive basic baby care information. Information on preparing  for an infant, health care information, putting a baby to sleep, bathing and safety care of an infant are some of the topics covered.

o   Parenting Planning- We will provide you with information on preparing a family budget, preparing for an infant, accessing health care, working with your family, preparing a place to live, looking into child care options and other issues that may be important to you in getting ready to parent.
