Catholic Charities Responds to Victims of Tornadoes and Flooding

The Catholic Charities network is working to assist people effected by the recent natural disasters.
Catholic Charities agencies are conducting damage assessment and providing immediate relief to individuals and families devastated by recent tornadoes and storms in the states of Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Iowa, Kentucky, Missouri, Mississippi, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin.
Individual and parish contributions are being accepted by Catholic Charities USA and will be used to support the work of local Catholic Charities agencies in the affected areas for immediate humanitarian needs and long-term case management.

If a parish wishes to take up a separate collection, collected funds can be submitted by sending one check, made payable to the Catholic Charities USA, with a note in the Memo field “Spring 2011 Disasters”.
