DESIGNATE YOUR DONATION!
When you are making a donation to Catholic Charities, you can tell us what programs or initiatives you'd like to support. All program-specific designations are considered restricted funds and are tracked during our annual audit.
Here are the program designations from which to choose.
Greatest Need - Designate your funds to support our most pressing projects or programs.
Rent & Utility Assistance Fund - Help us prevent homelessness! Our Bridging the Gap program provides over $50,000 in assistance annually to households that are struggling to maintain their housing, but have fallen behind on rent or utility payments. During the winter months, our Rent and Utility Assistance Fund can become depleted very quickly. Your support will help make sure a family is able to remain in their own home.
Disaster & Long Term Recovery - Tornadoes, flooding, and ice storms have all hit communities within our diocese in recent years. During these times, parishes turn to Catholic Charities to find resources to help fund emergency shelters and assist with long-term recovery efforts. Your donation to our Recovery Fund will be used whenever, and wherever, a disaster strikes.
Sanctuary Fund - A Caring Connection, Catholic Charities' Pregnancy Counseling and Adoption Program, works to help families prepare for a child's birth. The Sanctuary Fund supports birth mothers by helping cover housing payments, and buying food and other necessities. (Support is limited in scope and is only extended to clients with proven need.)
Mental Health Counseling - Contributions to this fund underwrite the costs of our counseling sessions, keeping our fees affordable for our poorest clients.
