Clinical Counseling
Catholic Charities' counseling program is a non-denominational service. People of all faiths and beliefs are welcome. Culturally sensitive counseling in Spanish is also available. Counseling is available at both our Lexington and our Prestonsburg office.
Counselors provide therapy sessions for individual adults, couples, adolescents, children and families to address a variety of needs, such as:
- Pre-marital Evaluations
- Marriage, Divorce and Relationship Issues
- Parenting, Family Conflicts and Communication
- Adolescent and Child Adjustment
- Emotional Crisis
- Depression/Anxiety/Phobias/Panic Disorders
- Improving Self-Esteem
- Decision Making
- Personal Growth
- Healing Grief and Loss
Counselors are sensitive to the client's individual financial circumstance. Fees for services are based on a sliding scale that considers household income as well as family size. Fees are quoted when a potential client calls for information. In addition, many insurances carriers are accepted.
Counselors are also available to provide group therapy or educational workshops on a contract basis.
For further information or to make an appointment, please contact the counseling department at (859) 253-1993 in Lexington and (606) 874-9170 in Prestonsburg and ask for a counselor.
